Mr Harminder S Gosal, MBBS, FRCS(Ed), FRCS(Eng), FRCS(Orth)

Mr Gosal’s undergraduate training was at The London Hospital Medical College. He did his postgraduate training in Leicester, Nottingham, and on the South West Thames Orthopaedic Training Programme based at St George’s Hospital, London.

After passing the Intercollegiate Specialist Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics FRCS(Orth), he went to Melbourne, Australia on a fellowship in Knee Surgery, working under the guidance of Mr John Bartlett . He also did a further fellowship in Joint Reconstruction and Hip Surgery with Mr Neil Bergman, also in Melbourne. He has been a Consultant in Cheltenham since 2001, and has a Specialist Interest in Knee Surgery. His NHS base is Cheltenham General Hospital.

Mr Peter C Birch, MBBS, FRCS(Eng), FRCS(Tr&Orth)

Mr Birch’s undergraduate training was at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne Medical School (MBBS 1989). His postgraduate training was in surgery, obtaining FRCS (Eng) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England Penrose-May Prize (1993), and his Specialist Orthopaedic Training on the Mid-Trent Orthopaedic Training Programme based at the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, passing FRCS (Tr&Orth) 2003.

He completed a Specialist Fellowship in Knee Surgery under Mr Ian Forster in Nottingham, and Mr Tim Wilton in Derby and two Travelling Fellowships. The first was under Henrich Malchau and Mats Brittberg in Sweden, looking at the role of Autologous Cartilage Implantation (ACI). The second was to the USA, under Kelly Vince MD (Los Angeles), Richard Berger MD (Chicago) and Donald Reilly MD (Boston). This was to expand his knowledge and skills in computer navigation, minimally invasive and revision knee replacements. He has been a Consultant in Cheltenham since 2004 and has a Specialist Interest in Knee surgery. His NHS base is Cheltenham General Hospital.

We have a team of Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Musculoskeletal MRI and the imaging of sports injuries and bone and joint abnormalities.

We are able to offer a full range of imaging modalities including X ray, MRI scanning, CT scanning and ultrasound.
